Seniors can have the chance to learn more about today’s technology at ‘Tech Savvy Seniors,’ a series of workshops offered by the Hawkesbury Library Service on two separate occasions in May and June 2024.

The Hawkesbury Library aims to focus on a different skill every week during the 4-week term and to help seniors keep up with the changes in technology. All sessions will be held at the Hawkesbury Central Library and will include:

Week 1 – Emails and Messaging| Learn all about email and messaging using your mobile or tablet.

Week 2 – Photos and Images | Learn how to save, edit and share images and photos.

Week 3 – Accessibility | Do you have problems seeing the text on your phone? Are you missing notifications because you can’t hear them? Come along and learn the accessibility options available on your phone or tablet.

Week 4 – Applications | Make the most of your technology by using applications. Learn how to install, manage and delete applications.

Participants are required to bring their own devices.

The workshops are available for Library members aged 60+ only. If participants are not members, they can join for free at https://aurora.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library/Join.aspx or visit the Library during opening hours.

All workshops will be on Thursdays, beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at noon. Tickets can be booked online via Eventbrite:

May sessions will run on 9, 16, 23, and 30 May.

On the other hand, workshop dates in June are 6, 13, 20, and 27 June.
